Never Say Never is a song written by Joe King, David Welsh, and Isaac Slade and performed by the band The Fray. This song was released in 2009 with their self-titled album The Fray.
While this song does not have much rhythmic and harmonic complexity as compared to the other Fray songs I have arranged, what I found unique was how the upper voice of the accompaniment is centered around just two recurring pitches: C and Eb, yet the harmonic structure implied by the bass line has a much longer non-repeating unit. It creates a sort of stationary, unchanging mood.
The chorus actually repeats more times than indicated in this arrangement, however I have decided to omit one of the repetitions because it is essentially the chorus but as an instrumental solo.
My favourite part would probably have to be the bridge, the latter part of which is very layered and somewhat contrapuntal.
