歲月如歌 / Songs of Years Gone By

Hello my Cantonese pop music fans (and everyone else)! This is my piano arrangement of 歲月如歌, the theme song from the 2003 TVB Hong Kong drama Triumph in the Skies / 衝上雲霄, sung by 陳奕迅 (AKA Eason Chan). I just love everything about this song: the melody, the lyrics, the harmony.

Arranging this piece was especially challenging in places where important notes are spread out such the span of some chords are too wide for most hands. So I have tried my best to accommodate that by leaving some notes optional. Some of the melody rhythms have been shifted to make the playing easier. Also the electric guitar solo passage was near impossible to transcribe due to the abundance of pitch bends, so I have rewritten it in a more pianistic style, but the pianist is free to improvise as he or she wishes.
