Syndicate

Syndicate is a song written by Joseph King and Isaac Slade and performed by the band The Fray. This song was released in 2009 with their self-titled album The Fray.

This song is one of my favourites from that album in particular. Upon the first listening, I immediately noticed the unique use of rhythm and meter in the introduction. It is actually in heavily-syncopated compound time. Again, as with much music of The Fray, the rhythmic and melodic interplay between various parts is just phenomenal.
